You are MY God.
Today’s Reading: Zechariah 1:1-21 / Revelation 12:1-17 / Psalm 140:1-13 / Proverbs 30:17
(NLT) I said to the Lord, “You are my God!”
My word for today is MY!
Psalm 140:6 is such a simple and powerful reminder to me today as I enter in to Christmas week. No matter what this week holds, I want my heart to hold this truth. He is MY GOD! I don’t want Him to be lost in the lights, the gifts, the shopping or the eating. I want my heart to HOLD TIGHT to the simple truth that HE is MY GOD!
This Christmas is a different one for me. It looks different, it feels different, it will be unique from years past. But, one thing remains the same – Christ is KING! He is LORD! He is a good, good Father! And, He is MY GOD! When my emotions rise, I can hold onto the fact that HE is MY God! If I get frustrated, I can take a humble step into the shadow of MY GOD! If I feel lonely, I can rest in the comfort of MY God. If I am feeling grateful and full, I can lift a prayer of praise to MY GOD! And, no matter if my day os wonderful or not so great, I can always remember with a heart of gratitude what the Lord has done in my life and in my heart!
I will rest and remember and rejoice that HE is MY GOD!
My prayer for us today:
Let us remember at every moment of this season that YOU are our God! When we begin to wonder, draw us near and remind us of who You are.
In Your Precious Name,
